fb.author.gender

The gender of an author:

  • female
  • male
  • unknown

See also: fb.parent.author.gender.

Examples

  1. Filter for stories from women who mention particular brands. This filter returns stories but not engagements (likes, comments, and reshares) because fb.content is populated only for stories:

    fb.content contains_any "BMW, Mercedes, Cadillac" and fb.author.gender == "female"

  2. Filter for engagements (likes, comments, and reshares) from authors in the 35-44 age range on stories written by men about Cartier.

    The fb.author.age targets holds the age demographic of the author of the engagement. The fb.parent.content and fb.parent.author.gender targets relate to the interaction that is receiving the engagement:

    fb.parent.content contains "cartier" and fb.author.age == "35-44" and fb.parent.author.gender == "male"

Notes

In the UI, the output is a pie or bar chart with up to 3 elements.
