Examples

  1. To request the data to build a topic graph just include fb.parent.topic_graph in a call to /pylon/analyze:

curl -X POST https://api.datasift.com/v1.3/pylon/analyze
    -d ' { "id": "1f42c40be4446f63aa0c5008ab7f700e", "parameters": { "analysis_type": "freqDist", "parameters": { "threshold": 200, "target": "fb.parent.topic_graph" } }, "start": "1447675740" } '
    -H 'Authorization: id:api_key'
    -H "Content-type: application/json"

This will return a JSON array containing information for up to 200 edges. Each edge in the JSON array looks like this:

{
    "unique_authors": 2800,
    "key": "Cars|BMW|Interest|skiing",
    "interactions": 3000
}

This shows that 2,800 unique authors created 3,000 posts to which Facebook assigned both the BMW topic and the skiing topic.

You can then use a package such as Google Fusion or Gephi to visualize the data.
